Back home now.. just got back from the Archidiocesan Vocation Camp!
It was a very good camp, it was enlightening. i realized that being a priest, any sort of priest isn't easy, i mean, its tough cause everybody expects you to be able to solve their problems. and you have to be a really balanced and strong person to be able to handle the preassure that is placed on you cause you aren't only expected to handle church affairs, but also as one of the priests put it, a shepherd of souls, taking care of their spiritual needs, giving direction when they need it,
In a nutshell, to be a second christ.
But also its very fulfilling, just by administering the sacrements to people and see the joy on their faces, even just talking to a priest, some people beam with joy, cause i guess its the fact that priests are a second christ, like talking to someone who's basically who's spiritually more centered, theres just a sense of fatherliness and comfort, just hanging around a priest or just talking to one. and one of the greatest joys that a priest has is the ability to affect ones life in such a huge way, seeing the joy in the faces of the people around you just by saying hi or blessing them...... Wow.... thats all i got to say after all the sharings.
I also found out that to become a priest, it take a lot of discernment, and oalong that way, you get like so many trials, but when god calls you to a vocation, You can Run, but you can't hide.... haha...... oh well.... that's pretty muich it.....
